Human noble is a close second for the massive amount of plot interaction you get later on. It varies heavily for me, but that said, Dalish is probably my least favorite origin, because it has almost no interaction with the rest of the plot.Īll the other origins have some level of interaction with the main plot Human Noble has the most, City Elf is second, and Mage and the two Dwarven origins are about tied for third.Ĭity elf is probably my overall favorite, due to 1) the level of plot interaction, and 2) the underdog action movie feel. well, that certainly made a difficult choice a lot easier (but no more palatable). Being drafted into the Grey Wardens was the best thing that ever happened to her and even after seeing what happened to poor Davin, she was willing to take her turn, because what could be worse than the life she'd already lived?Īnd then later, when she returned to Orzammar and discovered the welfare of her sister lay at the very heart of the political turmoil in that kingdom. It was a horrible life that my PC was trying to make as noble as possible. Meanwhile, her sister was basically selling her body in the hope of having a child that would elevate her status. She was basically working as a hired thug, dreaming of being something greater, but knowing it could never come to pass. I'll go with Commoner Dwarf, though I might have just picked that because it was the first I played. That's a difficult choice, because I've played them all, and only the Dalish opening didn't really do much for me.
